If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

We collect the information you enter on contact forms and may use it to respond to your query.

Like most websites, our website uses cookies to collect information about browsing behavior. Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or device. They are essential for the effective operation of our website, and they help tailor your experience on the site.

They are used for site navigation, to collect information about browsing patterns and may be used to provide targeted ads on some pages and to monitor the success of ad campaigns.

The site uses Google Analytics to provide some data about how the site is found and used and the data is only processed in such a way as to not identify anyone.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you would like to disable cookies you need to change your website browser settings to reject them and the site may or may not operate correctly depending on what you disable and what you are trying to do.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Mailing List

As part of the registration process for our weekly updates, we collect personal information. We use that information to provide free material you requested and to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about. We may also use it ask your opinion or to check that you are happy with us.

We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

We use a third-party provider, aweber, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see aweber’s privacy notice here:

You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails. You can also email to request this.

How long we retain your data

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
